I have the 1st and 2nd versions of these subs. Both hit good they take 1,500w at 1 ohm pretty good on a audiocontrol Epic1500 with an epicenter and Lc2i pro.
These would hit very much harder if I got a D4S box in them but in their current box they hit amazing too.
I had this subwoofer in a ported box 1.25 with a 600 RMS sundown amp and it sounded great. I feel like it could’ve took a lot more. I tried a few different budget brands and was just unhappy. We all know the brands that I’m talking about they would sound really good on the low end, but miss all those other notes for 100 bucks. It would be really hard to find something that sounds better quality wise and will shake your car. I’m happy I tried them. Definitely going to be a customer in the long run. Once I upgrade if you’re thinking about it, give them a try. I did get the version too. Two ohms and then I wired it to one ohm on the amp.
