Titanium 8″ Car Subwoofer | 300 Watts RMS | Dual Voice Coil 4 Ohm (Shallow Mount)

Bought two of these (never owned AB subs before) . I was initially impressed with the build quality as they are clean looking and just feels solid. Used in a custom sealed box enclosure (one as a "passive" driver and other active). Very impressed with the sound quality and surprisingly hits "lows" very well for the size and sale price (I paid). I would recommended for/as a "general/daily" use sub.

On the back of the subwoofer it says 300RMS for the 4ohm sub. I wired it down to 2ohm trying to chase the 500RMS and smelled voice coils burning, so, on the subs, x1 wire negative to positive, x2 wires (x1 negative and x1 positive) on each subs and linked the coresponding wires to one another along with a 10awg for the x2 sets of corresponding wires to the amp. Long story short, 300RMS it is.

This thing is great! Can handle alot of power for sure. Hits really hard for a little 8", this thing could hang with any full size 8', even alot of 10' subs. Highly suggest pairing with the box American Bass sells specifically for this sub, just search "box" and it will come up. Have it behind the seat in my '89 Mr2, and fits perfect. Again highly recommend!
